Why this site exists
Street go-karting is the most Tokyo thing you can do in Tokyo: your own kart, your own licence documents, and the world's busiest scramble crossing from the driver's seat. The rides sold under a dozen shop names differ sharply in route, road time, group size and refund windows, and the biggest reason a booking fails has nothing to do with the ride at all: the wrong licence documents, and no refund. This site reads the listings before you pay, and puts the licence rule on every page before anything else.
How we compare
Every listing here was read directly from its booking platform page: price, inclusions, licence requirements, meeting point, group size, cancellation window, and the honest edges - insurance deductibles, height limits, weather policy. Review counts and ratings are the platforms' own verified-booking figures. Hard facts - the 1949 Geneva Convention permit rule, the JAF translation list, the age and height windows - are checked against official Japanese sources and the operator listings each quarter, and the comparison tables state when the figures were last read.

On names and trademarks
Travellers nicknamed these rides after a certain Nintendo racing game decades younger than the karts themselves. The nickname is useful for finding them, so this site uses it the way a traveller would: in passing, in body text, never as a brand. The operators named here or on the cards have no connection to this website, and the game's publisher has no connection to the tours.
